A 2nd generation CNC machinist with a passion for RC racing.
Eric got a taste of oval racing in the early 90's but life prevented him from taking advantage of the opportunity. He started racing again 5 years ago and jumped in with both feet. Shortly after, he started Evolution Racing Concepts. Initially building only SC MOD bodies, the lineup has now expanded to include chassis conversions, and they have had great success.
Married with 4 children and 3 grandchildren, Eric stays busy in life but always has fun.

My name is Scooter Allison. I’ve been involved in racing for over 30 years, dating back to my first RC racecar in 1986. Over that time I’ve had the opportunity to race everything from 1/10 scale dirt and paved oval, carpet oval and road-course, off-road, quarter-scale oval and full scale dirt oval. One of my crowning achievements was winning the 1992 World Clay Oval Championship in the 2wd class.
Since re-entering the RC Dirt Oval scene in 2010, I’ve become a consistent podium finisher and track champion in the Georgia Dirt Oval scene as well as race promoter and technical assistant. You can follow me on my dedicated Facebook racing page - Scooter Allison Racing. In 2018 I hope to become involved in the CDOB (Carolina Dirt Oval Bash) series, which is quickly growing to be the elite Dirt Oval series in the southern United States.
I choose ERC race cars because they work great and have found success on high bite and loose dirt tracks; the cars are FAST! When I originally purchased my first ERC Rockstar chassis it was because it was Traxxas Slash based (which is my preference), mid motor and competitively priced. Because it’s Traxxas based, it’s tough, which is an extreme necessity in SC based oval racing. Eric designed the Rockstar around the mid-motor platform, which revolutionized the Slash for oval racing. Now, Traxxas fans can compete with the other manufacturers by installing the ERC conversion, which comes complete with body mounts, shock towers, chassis plate and hardware. Since the introduction of the Rockstar, ERC has designed and developed the Rockstar 2.0, the Rockstar “O”, the SC5M based Diablo, and 1/10 scale sprints, modifieds and latemodels based off Traxxas, Associated and TLR platforms - all at affordable prices the average racer can afford. ERC Race Cars are extremely fast and adaptive to any racing surface, blending aesthetic elegance with proven performance.

" The ERC chassis performs to my driving skills perfectly. I run them with Associated B6 buggy conversions and they give me the adjustability and smooth cornering that I am use to when I ran off-road with Associated equipment. My ERC Rockstart 2.0 chassis is a Traxxas Slash conversion which is a direct bolt on with no modifications. It was fast right out of the gate and gives me the most predictability I could have in the Nastruck class."...Darin Pendleton

"I am fairly new to RC Racing, but I have been in and around racing my whole life. After running a USRA B Modified on the local dirt tracks of SW Missouri I was looking to have some fun over the winter and got a Traxxas Slash. While I’ve seen some success in full scale racing, it just became too cost prohibitive to do on a regular basis. I found that I get just as much enjoyment out of racing my slash, and making the same kind of changes to the setup to get the car to the front. I soon learned of the ERC conversions, and have been finishing at the front of ever since. The ERC chassis performs flawlessly, and really gets the weight distribution where the Slash/Proline needs to be to run up front. Many Associated platforms have issues with their transmissions, but the Traxxas/Proline transmissions are nearly indestructible, and that really draws me to the platform. It really frustrates my competitors to get beat with a platform that is known for RC bashing, and that’s why I love doing it. Really the ERC Rockstar Series Chassis is the reason though."...Kody McCowan
Started running RC's in Lubbock, TX I ran Late model and Nastruck carpet oval and 10th scale on-road sedan. Then I went to the 10th scale indoor off-road and then to parking lot 10th scale sedan. Took a 15-year hiatus. Moved to Tulsa and dabbled in rc dirt oval but rc drag racing grabbed all of my attention. Been drag racing for little over a year. Was fortunate enough to win the 1st ever Tulsa cash days race. I have competed in all of the cash days races in Oklahoma for the last year. I’m also a member of the RCDRL Texas chapter where we race on a prepped track. Looked forward to competing this year until COVID shut down Texas. So I have been racing locally in Tulsa and I also run a points series called Ok No Prep King’s. We have cash day races in 3 different cities in Oklahoma and in Wichita, Ks
